Sunday Pearls: What Love Can Do

SundayPearls062815On Friday June 26, 2015 we heard the news that the Supreme Court finally, and officially legalized marriage for gay couples in all 50 states. In my gut, I feel that this historic ruling will change the course of activism within queer communities in the US, and around the world.

On a much smaller, but equally significant note, I took a 150 question benchmark exam on Saturday morning. This is the first of many long-form examinations that I will complete as I inch my way toward the national licensing boards. Right after I finished my exam I called my mother, and we had a glorious discussion about God. We both agree that God has many names, can be experienced in many ways, and is genderless. Ultimately, we agree that God is Love. Yeah, I know, my mama is the best!

Today I want to share this quote about love by Maya Angelou. It’s one of my all-time favorite quotes, and I hope it resonates with you!

Happy Sunday + Happy Pride!

In Solidarity,

Christian
