Welcome to the first installment of TCM Tuesdays! The goal of this series is to inspire and educate. Learning Chinese medicinals is one of the most fascinating and rewarding parts of medical school, and through this project I hope to exchange knowledge, new information, and other geeky things related to herbology, botany, and the healing arts! So let’s get started! Today, is all about the power of Jing Jie.
Also known as Schizonepeta Stem/Bud, or Pungent Whip, Jing Jie is from the Peppermint botanical family. This gem is great for treating issues related to skin, and muscle including rashes, eczema, spasms, and cramps. It also aids the reproductive system to stop uterine bleeding and vaginal discharge. Jing Jie is a safe auxiliary herb for blood in the stool.
If you have any clinical gems you want to share regarding the use of this herb, and its effectiveness, leave a post in the comments section. Thanks for reading! ♡ In Solidarity, Christian
